This adult training camp and wine country tour is a unique experience that combines the thrill of ice skating with the relaxation of exploring picturesque wine regions. This program is designed for adults ages 21+ who are passionate about ice skating and appreciate the finer things in life.

UNLIMITED FREESTYLES

All Freestyle sessions are included for full-week campers Monday-Friday for you to practice skills learned during camp and schedule private lessons with the Professional Coaches. Private lessons incur additional fees.

CHRISTY NESS

Born in England, raised in California, Peter started skating at the age of three. As his interest in Ice Dance grew, Peter trained and competed all over the world becoming a USFS Double Gold Medalist and National and International competitor. After turning professional, Peter has compiled a long list of successful competitors as a three-time US National team coach. After settling in the Nashville area, Peter has had the opportunity to coach, and now manage, the Learn to Skate program, and special events for Ford Ice Center’s Scott Hamilton Skating Academy.

Elin Schran founded Joy Skate Productions in 2018 to make the joy of skating accessible to all. The company achieves this goal by partnering with corporate clients to bring high energy professional shows to the public free of charge. Joy Skate also has an outreach and educational component, offering camps, workshops, and community events to skaters of all ages, abilities, and skill levels. In 2007 Elin created IceFlow, a yoga-inspired edge class for all ages and skill levels. IceFlow aims to connect movement with the breath while incorporating twisting, stretching, and gliding choreography. The main objectives of IceFlow include awareness and control of weight transfer, increased comfort with shifting balance points, and a celebration of the joy of skating and being in the present moment. For more than 20 years Elin has specialized in helping adult skaters of many skill levels feel comfortable and confident on the ice while being challenged in a positive way.

Legendary coach Christy Ness, who coached Kristi Yamaguchi to Olympic Gold joins us at our Adult Camp! She personally competed through Senior level and has taught skaters of all levels. She started coaching at 19 as a hobby while she attended school at Cal Berkley. Christy met Kristi Yamaguchi at a training camp when Kristi was 9 years old and started working with her after that.

CHRISTOPHER KINSER

Russ is a National International Coach who has been teaching since 1996. He is a member of USFS & LTS USA Director of Skating at Wissahickon Skating Club near Philadelphia. Has served on many USFS committees including the Judges & Ice Dance, Athletes Advisory Committee’s. As a Skater, Russ was a National, International, World & Olympic Competitor for Team USA in Ice Dancing. 1992 US Ice Dance Champion, 1992 US Olympic Team. As a coach, Russ enjoys working with skaters at all levels and holds USFS Gold Medals in Dance & Free Dance, as well as International Dances. Russ teaches all levels of Dance, Choreography, Freestyle, Moves in the Fields and Stroking.

Jayne is a five-time US Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Figure & Freestyle, Ice Dance, Adult Skating Skills, Adult Solo Free Dance, and Adult Solo Pattern Dance. She holds PSA Master Ratings in Figures, Freestyle, and Moves in the Field. A full-time instructor for over 40 years, she has coached at Regional and Sectional Championships, the Synchronized Skating and Adult National Championships, and served as an assistant at the US Figure Skating National Championships. Along the way, she coached numerous skaters from the day they first stepped on the ice all the way through their Gold Medal tests. While choosing to spend more time with family these days, Jayne remains active on and off the ice and is as passionate as ever to share her knowledge and love for the sport with skaters of all ages and levels, whatever their preferred discipline.
